Pomp and Circumstance No. 1--Sir Edward Elgar

Saturday was a busy day. My brother graduated from Marshall with a Masters Degree in Forensic Science with emphases in Crime Scene Investigation, Digital Forensics, and Forensic Chemistry. Essentially he can analyze a crime scene, crack passwords and retrieve "permanently" deleted files, and well, I still don't know what a Forensic Chemist does, haha! He also graduated with a 3.9 (or higher)!
You can imagine how proud we all are, especially my parents are. My dad is a high school graduate who has worked in a steel mill for 30+ years and my mom is a high school drop out (though she's nothing to sneeze at herself. She got her GED when I was in third grade and as of my junior year of high school still had the highest score ever recorded in Cabell County!). Here are the highlights in pictures:

On the stage getting his diploma

His go to funny face, haha!

Showing off his blood spatter tie

Being hooded by his mentor, Dr. Rankin

With his awesome sister, me!

Family shot, though I look more fat in that shirt than 1 week from having a baby.

The cake, made by my sister in law's Aunt Eleanor. There was also a sculpted Jared that was separate and somehow got left in Logan.
