All Because of God's Amazing Grace--Hymn

Here's Tristan at church tonight. Ignore my voice. I was trying to sing so he could hear me, low so you could hear him. He did this during every song.

Traveling Soldier--DIxie Chicks

This weekend was a Drill Weekend for the Ellis family. That means Tyler had to go to Eleanor yesterday and today. Tyler's cousin Emmy made Tristan his own Army outfit. This month is the first time it has fit. Here are Spc. Tyler Ellis and General Tristan Ellis. Tristan is a 7 Star General!

PS I know there is no such thing as a 7 Star General! That's why mine I so special, lol.

Hey Man, Nice Shot--Filter

Today was Tristan's 2 month check-up. He weighs 10 lbs 1oz, which is in 10th percentile, while he is 21 1/2 inches long which is 10th-25th percentile. In other words, we have a perfectly proportionate little man who at this point takes after his momma.

He also had to get the dreaded shots today.

I really wasn't worried about it because he has already had labs drawn twice since we got out of the hospital. I think once your newborn has had a collapsed lung and IV's in his hand and head, you can handle most anything.

Tell Her About It--Billy Joel

Tristan is growing SO fast! He's started carrying on conversations with you when you talk to him.

Here he is "talking" to mom:

I'll keep trying to get even better video of him talking, but this will have to tide you over for a while. I say he's not happy with the momma paparazzi, lol!

Switch--Will Smith

Last Saturday I switched Tristan's formula.

I was at my wits end with his puking. He was on Nutramigen, a "hypoallergenic" formula. I had asked the doctor at his last appointment, when she had sent him for a pyloric ultrasound, if his symptoms could be an allergy. She told me his formula was milk and soy free, which I knew to be incorrect. Nutramigen is made from milk and has soy listed as an ingredient, the proteins are just partially broken down. Nutramigen is normally the last resort formula.

With no other options, I changed him to a soy formula on Saturday. I figured since his formula had soy in it, it would narrow out a milk allergy. By Monday, he was a different baby. He's constantly smiling. He let's me put him down without crying. On Monday I cleaned my living room and on Tuesday I did the rest of the house! He played in his bouncy seat the entire time.

Tonight I took him out of his swing and put him back in the bassinet. He has slept in the swing since birth because everytime he got anything reseembling flat, even on a wedge, he choked and puked. In 8 weeks, the poor kid never went more than a day without projectile vomiting at least once. As of today, it's been 8 days since he threw up! It took me changing him on my own when the doctor wouldn't help. Needless to say, we're finding a new doctor.

I feel like a giant burden has been lifted off of me. God is good.

No News--LoneStar

Well, Tristan's ultrasound was normal. I'm both happy and frustrated about it. Happy because who would want their baby to have to have surgery. Frustrated because it would be something we could treat and he would get better.

My next step is to try him on soy formula to see if it is an allergy. His symptoms definitely seem like an allergy. Vomiting, reflux, severe gas, fussiness and constipation. His doctor tried to tell me his formula is milk and soy free, but that is 100% wrong. It has partially broken down milk proteins, but that's it. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new doctor, too.

Keep praying for Tristan that we figure it out and me that I'm still sane when we do.
